  6. Chambers of heart: The heart is made up of 4 chambers 2 auricles(right and left) and 2 ventricles(right and left); these chambers help in the pumping of blood.
  7. The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood and pumps it to the right ventricle; the right ventricle pumps blood to the pulmonary artery which carries it to the lungs for oxygenation.
  8. This oxygenated blood is returned to the left atrium via pulmonary vein which is further pumped to the left ventricle.
  9. From the left ventricle, oxygenated blood is pumped to the aorta which supplies to the rest of the body.
  10. The heart is made up of cardiac tissue, which is made up of a variety of cells, including:
    • Smooth muscle cells
    • Cardiomyocytes
    • Fibroblasts
