Open in App
Solution

Chordates:

  1. Chordates have pharyngeal gill slits, a notochord, and a central nerve system that is located dorsally.
  2. A rod-like structure called a notochord develops during embryonic development.
  3. After embryonic development notochord changes into the vertebral column.
  4. The members having this vertebral column including human beings fall under the Vertebrata subphylum.
  5. Hence, human is a chordate.
