Is induction and orientation training the same as both are concerned with introducing and familiarising the new employee to the old ones?

Both Induction and Orientation are related to introducing and familiarising new employees to the old ones, but there is slight difference in both. Induction involves introduction of the employee with the organisation its short term process while Orientation involves integration of the employees in the organisation, its long term in nature.
