Question

is ion-ion/ion-dipole forces is as same as dipole-dipole induced forces??

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

All these forces are not the same because in the case of ion-ion dipoles the forces of attraction are strong because of ions.
In the case of ion-dipole, an ion will develop dipole in non-dipole and in dipole-dipole having weakest forces.
