Verify the given statement

In a histogram, horizontal axis represents the class intervals whose width is fixed and varying data is plotted along the vertical axis. So in all the rectangles of histogram, width remains same and the length changes. So in histogram “the area of each rectangle is proportional to the corresponding frequency of its class".

Hence, the given statement is incorrect
