Supplementary angles are the angles when their measures are added together it leads to 180o.

When supplementary angles are adjacent, it leads to a straight line.

In below figure, both angles are non-adjacent to each other but they are supplementry angles because their sum is 180o
However, supplementary angles don't need to be adjacent to each other.
