Question

Is it possible that the acceleration of a body changes its direction without its displacement or velocity changing direction? Why/why not?

Solution

lets say we drive a vehicle, mostly a car, we may move in a constant direction with a constant speed, we may accelerated in the same direction if the road is smooth or we may apply break in case of rough patches on the road, as we apply breaks we did notice that we are tend to retard, This retardation is basically said to be deceleration, i.e. acceleration in opposite direction, therefore we can say that we can change the direction of acceleration without changing its velocity's direction.
