Question

Is it possible to change the temperature and pressure of a fixed mass of a gas, without changing its volume?

Open in App
Solution

  1. No, it is not possible to change the temperature and pressure of a fixed mass of gas without changing its volume.
  2. Because all the three values are related to each other by the gas equation as

PVT=K (K=constant)

So, if we change any variables in the above equation then automatically the third variable will be changed.
