Concept: In a right triangle, the sum of the two sides multiplied by themselves is equal to the largest side multiplied with itself.

Let's see if this holds good for our triangle.

So we have two sides 12, and 5 while the largest side is 13.

The smaller sides multiplied by themselves are:

12×12=144

5×5=25

Sum of these is 144+25=169

And, the largest side multiplied with itself is 13×13=169

So, 144+25=169

Thus, this is a right triangle.
