Question

Is it possible to have acceleration without velocity?

Open in App
Solution

Yes, it is possible to have acceleration without velocity. E.g. when you throw an object vertically upwards, at the highest point, the object's velocity is zero, but it still has an acceleration of g in the downward direction.
