Question

IS IT POSSIBLE TO IDENTIFY VENATION BY SEEING A PLANT SEED?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

By looking at seeds:
The plants with two cotyledons in seeds (dicots) have reticulate venation while the plants with a single cotyledon in seeds (monocots) have parallel venation. Thus, by looking at the number of cotyledons of seed, we can figure out the venation in leaves of plant.
