Open in App
Solution

No. It is impossible to live without hypothalamus.

Hypothalamus

  • Hypothalamus is located above the pituitary gland and below the thalamus.
  • Hypothalamus is the smart control coordinating center of our body which is deep within the brain. Its main job is to keep your body in a state of homeostasis, or balance. It accomplishes this by influencing your autonomic nervous system or by controlling hormones.
  • Many of your body's key processes, such as heart rate and blood pressure, are stimulated or inhibited by the hypothalamus.
  • Corticotrophin-releasing hormone, dopamine, growth hormone-releasing hormone, somatostatin, gonadotrophin-releasing hormone, and thyrotrophin-releasing hormone are all hormones produced in the hypothalamus.
