Question

Is it true that there exists particles faster than light (like tachyon) ? If yes, then how exactly does it work ?

Solution

Yes,
there is a hypothetical particle called tachyon which can travel faster than light. We cant see it as it travels faster than light. As we cant see it approaching we can see it appearing and departing in opposite direction after it has passed nearby. If such paticles did exist they can be used to build tachyonic antitelephone which can be used to send information faster than light if you send message at 10 pm it may reach at 9 pm. Many physicsts disagree this idea as it cant be consistent with fundemental laws of physics. The possibility of particles moving faster than light was first proposed by O. M. P. Bilaniuk, V. K. Deshpande, and E.C.G.Sudharshan in 1962,
