we cant say like that .some metal behaviour is not like that
Positively charged ions migrate to the negativeelectrode (cathode) during electrolysis. They gain electrons and are reduced. Negatively charged ions migrate to the positive electrode (anode) during electrolysis. They lose electrons and are oxidised.
