1. Parasitism is a type of symbiotic relationship.
2. In a parasitic symbiotic relationship one of the partners acts as a parasite and feeds off the other organism.
3. Hence, parasitism is a positive relationship as one organism (parasite) is benefitted from the other.
4. Whereas, the host organism is harmed in the relationship as the parasite derives its nutrition from it.
