Open in App
Solution

Dioecious and Monoecious:

  1. Male and female gametes are produced on separate plants in dioecious plants. Dioecious plants are those that develop distinct plants for male and female flowers.
  2. Depending on whether or not they have bisexual flowers, plants are classified as monoecious or dioecious.
  3. Pinus reproduces through sporophytic generation and is a monoecious plant.
  4. Despite the fact that the microsporophyll (male) and megasporophyll (female) are generated on the same plant, they are found in separate cones or strobilli.
  5. The male and female cones are called staminate strobilus and carpellate strobilus, respectively.
