Polyesters have ester units and the other name is Polyethylene terephthalate : PET
Terylene or Dacron
It is thermosetting plastics. Prepared from ethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalic acid at 253 – 513 K.
All synthetic fibres are prepared from raw materials of petroleum origin or petrochemicals.
