   1. Macronutrients: Macronutrients are found in enormous levels in plant tissues (more than 10 mmole Kg^-1 dry matter). Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulphur, potassium, calcium, and magnesium are among the macronutrients.
   2. Micronutrients: Micronutrients, often known as trace elements, are only required in tiny levels (less than 10 mmole Kg^-1 dry matter). Iron, manganese, copper, molybdenum, zinc, boron, chlorine, and nickel are among them.
3. Potassium is a macronutrient, not a trace element.
