Open in App
Solution

  1. Those quantities that have magnitude alone are called scalar quantities.
  2. Those quantities that have magnitude, as well as direction, are called vector quantities.
  3. Potential, V is scalar and has no direction
  4. To find the voltage due to a combination of point charges, we have to add the individual voltage as algebric numbers.
  5. So the potential is a scalar quantity.
