Is rate constant dependent on the concentration?
The rate constant
The proportionality constant in the equation that defines the link between the rate of a chemical reaction and the concentrations of the reacting chemicals is the rate constant, also known as the specific rate constant.
Concentration
The amount of a substance, such as salt, present in a certain volume of tissue or liquid, such as blood. When there is less water present in a substance, it becomes more concentrated.
Hence, the rate constant is independent of concentration.
