Is sound loud...
Question
Is sound louder underwater?
Open in App
Solution
Sound louder is underwater because water particles are packed in more densely than air, sound travels faster in water.
As a result, the energy carried by sound waves is transmitted more quickly.
The sound should appear louder as a result of this.
Because water is denser than air, the sound reverberates louder underwater.
Hence, the sound will be louder underwater.
