Tepal:
They are the outer parts of a flower.
When sepals and petals cannot be differentiated, they are called tepals.
Tepals occur in lilies and tulips.
Perianth:
It is the sterile, outermost part of the flower.
It is also called the Perigonium.
It forms an envelope around the reproductive parts of a flower.
It consists of the calyx, corolla, and tepals.
It is further differentiated into outer and inner whorls.
