The chemical formula of Soda ash is (Sodium carbonate).
It is a white crystalline solid that generally is found as decahydrate (Washing soda).
When washing soda finally succumbed to efflorescence (a feature of certain salts that causes crystals to lose their water of crystallization when exposed to dry air), it loses water to form monohydrate.
And when it is heated above becomes completely anhydrous and changes to Soda ash .
