Question

Is the force of gravitation repulsive electrostatic, conservative or non conservative.give reasons for it

Solution

Dear student, Gravitational force is always attractive in nature. It is a binding force and always acting to bind objects inwards. The gravitational force is always pointing towards the centre of the body. It is a property of mass.Gravity does not have polarity, it only attracts, An analogy with magnetic or electric fields is appealing (because they are all field forces, decay with the square of the distance) but science is not made of analogies, it is made of observations. And no one has observed gravity repulsion. Gravitational force is a conservative force, as the work done due to gravitational force is independent of the path followed.Regards
