Solution
Operculum:
An operculum (gastropod), is a single lid that, when the animal is retracted, closes the aperture of the shell, protecting the internal soft parts of the animal that are not completely covered by the shell.
The operculum is located on the top back of the foot.
The operculum rotates 180° and closes the shell when the foot is retracted.
