Is the sum of two prime numbers is always even?

Define prime numbers :

A number that can be divided exactly only by itself and 1, is known as prime number. Every prime number is an odd number except 2.

We know that adding two odd numbers always results in an even number, whereas the addition of an odd number with 2 will always result in an odd number.

Hence, we can conclude that the sum of two prime numbers except 2, are always even.
