Is the water movement apoplastic in pericycle?

Dear Student,
Water movement in pericycle is Symplastic. As water flow from cortex to endodermis by symplast pathway because wall of endodermis are impervious due to presence of casparian strip now water flow from endodermis to pericycle only by plasmodesmata from where it enters to xylem.
