Dear student,
Aspirin is weak acid and the pH of stomach is acidic, so small amount of aspirin is ionized in stomach but absorption occurs quickly in the stomach wall. In the small intestine the pH is more alkaline due to which aspirin is slowly absorbed in the small intestine. The absorption occurs directly into the blood from stomach and there is no such mechanism for absorption of aspirin. Some monocarboxylic acid have been suggested to show absorption through receptor mediated absorption.
