Mitochondria:

  1. It is the powerhouse of cells that are generally involved in the production of energy currency i.e, ATP.
  2. All the cells require energy to live and therefore mitochondria are found in all the living cells whether plants or animals.
  3. But, mitochondria are absent in a prokaryotic cell.
