  1. The term homeothermic refers to warm-blooded animals that have constant & relatively higher temperatures.
  2. They are animals that can maintain their internal body temperature. Toad belongs to order Anura of class Amphibia.
  3. Toads are poikilothermic animals, which are found in a warm environment.
  4. Other characteristic features include the body being divided into head and trunk, the tail may or may not be present, skin is smooth & rough without any scales, but with glands that make it moist. Hence it is poikilothermic.
