Tubectomy and vasectomy are surgical methods for permanent
sterility in humans. Tubectomy is done in females. Here, the fallopian
tubes are cut and both the cut ends are ligated. This prevents entry of
ovum into uterus.
On the contrary, vasectomy is done in males. Here, the
vas deferens is cut and the cut ends are ligated, and the sperms cannot
enter the ejaculatory duct.
