Open in App
Solution

Turner syndrome is not caused by parents.

Turner's syndrome:

  1. Turner's syndrome is a genetic disorder that only affects females.
  2. Turner's syndrome is distinguished by the absence of one of the two sex chromosomes.
  3. It is also known as the 45, X syndrome and is denoted by the symbol 44 +XO.
  4. It is caused by the nondisjunction of a pair of sex chromosomes in a parent during the formation of a sperm or an egg.
  5. When a sperm lacking an X chromosome combines with a normal egg to form an embryo, the embryo will have only one X chromosome rather than XX.
  6. As a result, the embryo cells divide, and each cell is devoid of the missing X chromosome.
