Question

Is water after wastewater treatment fit for drinking?

Open in App
Solution

Absolutely, as long as it's been through a potable water treatment facility.

Drinking sewage treated to normal standards at a wastewater plant followed by treatment to normal standards at a water plant is completely acceptable. In fact, this is generally what happens anyway. Most water treatment plants take their water from streams and rivers that wastewater treatment plants have already put their cleaned up sewage in.

Hope this helps :)
