- Elastic material: Elasticity is a material's propensity to regain its original shape after being subjected to forces and the material is called elastic. Example: Bungee Jumping, Elastic Waistband, Rubber Bands, etc.
- Wood: Viscoelasticity, or the ability of wood to exhibit both elastic and plastic properties when subjected to particular deformations, is another distinctive quality of wood.
- If we applied a force on wood it will not change its shape or in some cases, if it changes the shape it comes to its original shape after some time. So we can say that wood is an elastic material.
Hence, wood is an elastic material.
