It becomes extremely cold during snow fall. Explain why.

Even the coldest air can hold some moisture. When there is snowfall, all the heat present in atmosphere are being absorbed with the moisture. And due to this there is fall in temperature. And due to this, we feel cold during snowfall. And as a result when there is snowfall, air becomes so cold that it does not hold so moisture that produces snow.
