The HIV virus has a latency period in which there is no proper idea that the viral infection which switches on after specific weeks or months. The virus divides at a much rapid pace in the infected person. If there are drugs used for te treatment of the virus, the virus gets mutated very fast and so, the drugs cannot be synthesised and used again. The HIV attacks the immune system cells. This is the main reason which suppresses the immune response of the host against the virus.
