Sex determination in human beings is by XY method, allosomes are X and Y chromosomes. The number of chromosomes in humanbeing is 46. Females are homogametic AA XX and males are heterogametic, AA XY. The Y-chromosome determines the maleness in human beings. The nondisjunction of allosomes explains the importance of Y-chromosome in the determination of male sex in human beings.
The Sex of a newborn child is a matter of chance and none of the parents may be considered responsible for it.
