It is advised to be extremely careful while handling sulphuric acid in laboratories as it is:
It is advised to be careful while using sulphuric acid in the lab because it is highly corrosive in nature. Contact with this acid can cause severe burns with redness, swelling, pain, and blurred vision. Permanent damage including blindness can be a result.
Also, note that when you are mixing water and sulphuric acid you mix acid in water and not water in acid. It generates heat in large amounts that can be dangerous.
On the other hand if acid is mixed in water the heat generated will be absorbed by the water.
