The ease with which any substance burns depends on its ignition temperature. A substance with a lower ignition temperature burns easily as compared to a substance with a higher ignition temperature.

Green leaves contain some amount of water in them due to which their ignition temperature becomes higher than that of dry leaves.

Therefore, dry leaves catch fire easily as compared to green leaves.
