Pressure is defined as the force per unit area. i.e.,
$P r e s s u r e = \frac{F o r c e}{A r e a}$
Blunt blades have larger area compared to the sharp-edged blade.
According to above equation, if area is more, you have to apply more force to get the same pressure. Hence, it is difficult to cut the cloth using a pair of scissors with blunt blades.
