It is difficult to walk on a wet road. Explain.

Open in App
Solution

  1. Friction is created due to irregularities in the two surfaces in contact.
  2. We can walk on a floor when sufficient friction is present there.
  3. So, less friction, more difficult it is to walk and a higher chance of slipping.
  4. On a wet road, the friction is very less because the surface of the road has irregularities that get filled with water.
  5. So, it is difficult to walk on a wet road.
