Solution

The correct options are
A

Concentration of ore

B

Conversion of ore into its oxide form

The chemical formula of bauxite is Al2O3.2H2O. Bayer's process is used for the concentration of bauxite or oxide ores of aluminium using sodium hydroxide NaOH. The final product obtained from the Bayer's process is relatively pure, concentrated alumina(Al2O3).

This means that the metal oxide is not yet converted into aluminium. Also, there is no refining step either.
