## The correct option is D 12As the students who are sitting in a position numbered as by the prime numbers will get Dairy Milk, we have to first know the number of prime numbers from 1 to 40. The prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37. Clearly we can see that there are 12 prime numbers, so 12 students will get Dairy Milk chocolates. Please note here that the number 1 is not a prime number. 1 is neither a prime nor a composite number.
