Solution

The correct option is B Faxian
Faxian was a Chinese Buddhist pilgrim. He visited India in the 5th century during the rule of Chandragupta- II. During this time, he visited Mathura, Kanauj, Kapilavastu, Kushinagar, Vaishali, Patliputra, Kashia and Rajagriha. He maintained a travelogue which recorded that Pataliputra was prosperous and had four religions namely, Buddhism, Jainism, Vaishnavism and Shaivism. He was the one who noticed that Chandalas were not treated well. He also spoke of the fair and liberal administration under the Gupta regime.
