A genetic code links the nucleotide sequence of DNA to be decoded into amino acids of proteins. It consists of 64 triplet of nitrogen bases with 4 different bases (wherethe base could be adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine).
Each codon codes for an amino acid. Multiple such codon sequence, codes for a particular amino acid sequence finally forming a protein.
