Solution

The correct option is B False
The first world war began in July 28, 1914. The countries who took part on the side of Germany were called as the Central Power. Those who took part on the side of Britain were called as Allies. Germany made initial gains by occupying France and Belgium. However, the Allies, strengthened by the US entry in 1917, won, defeating Germany and the Central Powers in November 1918.
Italy joined the Allies in the First world war to gain territories of German and Turkey. But by the "Treaty of Versailles" Italy could get only Southern Tyrol and Trentino and the coastal regions of Dalmatia. Italy could not get any part of the German and Turkish empire.
Thus we can say though Italy was a victor and constitute of Allies, It did not gain substantially from the spoils of War.
