Use the following figure, showing the layout of a farmhouse.

Each banana tree required $1.25 m^{2}$ of ground space. How many banana trees can there be in the orchard?

Area covered by banana orchard $= 20 m \times 15.7 m = 314 m^{2}$
Since, $1.25 m^{2}$ area is required by 1 banana tree.
$∴$ Number of banana trees required for 314 $m^{2}$ $= \frac{314}{1.25} = 251.25 = 251 t r e e s$
