The correct option is B 116 miles
Given:
Distance of fuel pump from the starting point = 56 miles
Distance further traveled = 76 miles

Step 1: Total distance traveled = 76 + 56
= 126
= 2 miles

Step 2: Subtract the distance that he overshoots from the total distance he travels. i.e,

Final destination after he overshoots
= 126 - 16 = 116 miles
