Solution

The correct option is B 10 handspan
Say:
Jane measures her plant every week with her hand. Every week, it grows by 2 handspan.

Steps:
In week 1, it measured 4 handspan.
In week 2, it will grow by two handspan. So it will be =4+2=6 handspan.
In week 3, it will grow by two handspan. So it will be =6+2=8 handspan.
In week 4, it will grow by two handspan. So it will be =8+2=10 handspan.
Hence, after 3 more weeks, it’ll be 10 handspan long.
Thus, Option B is the correct one.

Probing Q: Why did we calculate for 4 weeks when the question asked was for 3 weeks? Let us correct it and make the answer as 8 handspan, i.e., option A. Shall we?
A: No! The question says: 3 more weeks. This makes it week 1+3 more weeks, i.e., 4 weeks.
