Cost of 1 kg of salt = ₹ 50
We know that 1 kg = 1000 g.
That is, the cost of 1000 g of salt is ₹ 50.
$∴$ The cost of 500 g of salt is $\frac{500 \times 50}{1000} = ₹ 25.$
